The U14B District Play-Downs for the Langley XTREME ‘03 were hosted by Langley Fastball Association at Noel Booth Park this past June 16-18th, 2017 weekend. Four teams (Langley XTREME ‘03, Langley XTREME ‘04, Valley Venom ‘03 and Valley Venom ‘04) competed in the weekends Girls U14B Peewee District for Langley, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. All four teams started the weekend competing in a double knock-out to determine the Gold Final playoff game on June 18, 2017.

The Langley XTREME ’03 started the weekend playing Valley Venom ‘03 securing an 11-4 win. The next game was played against Valley Venom ‘04 which resulted in a mercy finish at 10-3 in the 5th inning for Langley XTREME ’03.

This secured a place for the Langley XTREME ‘03 in the Gold Final playoff game against Valley Venom ‘03.

The Final Game for Gold and the opportunity to play in the U14B Girls Peewee 2017 Provincials was an extremely tense game with the Langley XTREME ‘03 down 5-0 and 2 out in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Langley XTREME ‘03 were close to losing in a Mercy final when they rallied back to get 7 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to make it a 7-5 game. The Langley XTREME ‘03 continued to rally back to finally win the game 10-5 after 7 innings.

It was a great win for the Langley XTREME ’03 U14B Girls Peewee Softball Team who are looking forward to finishing off a successful softball season with the Lower Mainland Cup and the Provincial Championships approaching in the coming weeks!

Langley Fastball Association is again hosting the District championships for D8 at Noel Booth park. Teams in both LFA and NL House divisions from U14-U19 and our joint Rep B from U12-U18 will be competing for a chance to attend Provincials as D8 representatives.

Come down to the park and check out some more great ball! The concession will be open and the weather looks like it will cooperate.

Congratulations to the Langley Xtreme 05 Rep B team for winning the gold pool championship at the Kelowna Fastball Spring Sizzle this past weekend.

The team went undefeated in the round robin with wins against Calgary Adrenaline (22-0), Vancouver Wildcats 05 (6-3), and Richmond Islanders 05 (5-1). The team continued with an aggressive offense, strong pitching and tight defense to capture the gold medal on Sunday. The team had a close qualifying game against Cloverdale Fury 05, Xtreme was down 2-1 but battled back to score 11 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to win 12-2.

Xtreme held Kelowna Heat to a shutout in the semi-final (11-0) and also held PoCo Ravens 05 to a shutout in the final (7-0).

The entire team contributed to the weekend success!

Langley U14B Girls Peewee Softball Rep Team – the Langley XTREME ‘03 won a Gold Medal in Fleetwood over the weekend!

The Fleetwood FastPitch Association – Fleetwood Force – hosted eight teams in their annual Girls U14B Peewee Tournament this past May 26 – 28, 2017 weekend. All eight teams started the tournament competing in the Round Robin on May 26 and May 27,2017 to determine the playoff games on May 28, 2017. The Langley XTREME ’03 placed first in the Round Robin standings, winning four straight games against the Fleetwood Force ’03 (15-1Win), Squamish Blue Thunder ’03 (10-0 Win), South Surrey White Rock (SSWR) Thunder ’03 (12-6 Win), and the Richmond Islanders ’04 (9-2 Win).

The playoffs on May 28th, 2017 resulted in the Langley XTREME ‘03 playing their semi-final game against South Surrey White Rock (SSWR) Thunder ’03 with the game ending in 8-1 for the XTREME ’03. This moved Langley XTREME ‘03 into their final game of the tournament for Gold against the Bellingham Bash ’03/’04.

The Finals against the Bellingham Bash ‘03/’04 ended with Langley XTREME ’03 proudly securing the Gold Medal with a final score of 10-0.

It was a great tournament for the Langley XTREME ’03 U14B Girls Peewee Softball Team who are looking forward to continuing a successful softball season!

Langley U14B Girls Peewee Softball Rep Team – the Langley XTREME ‘03 won a Gold Medal in Ridge Meadows over the weekend!

The Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association (RMMSA) – Ridge Meadows Rage – hosted four teams in their annual May Madness Girls U14B Peewee Tournament this past May 20 – 21, 2017 weekend. All four teams started the tournament competing in the Round Robin on May 20, 2017 to determine the playoff games on May 21, 2017. The Langley XTREME ’03 placed a close second in the Round Robin standings, winning two straight games against the Ridge Meadows Rage ’04 (20-3 Win), and the Ridge Meadows Rage ’03/04 (10-2 Win) and suffering a close loss to the Cloverdale Fury ’03 (6-5 Loss).

The playoffs on May 21st, 2017 resulted in the Langley XTREME ’03 playing their semi-final game against Ridge Meadows Rage 03/04 with the game ending in 13-1 for the Xtreme ’03. This moved Langley XTREME ‘03 into their final game of the tournament for Gold against the Cloverdale Fury ’03.

The Finals against the Cloverdale Fury ’03 was an exciting game ending in Langley XTREME ’03 proudly securing the Gold Medal with a final score of 12-8.

It was a great tournament for the Langley XTREME ’03 U14B Girls Peewee Softball Team who are looking forward to continuing a successful softball season!
